Lucky Bhaskar full movie and story
Director: Venky Atluri
Writer: Venky Atluri
Stars: Dulquer SalmaanMeenaakshi ChaudharyTinnu Anand
Dulquer Salmaan, who transforms into Baskhar, delivers a performance that is simple, balanced, and profoundly effective. He pours life into the role, making Bhaskar relatable and approachable, drawing audiences into his journey with an authentic portrayal. Meenakshi Chaudhary, seen previously in a limited role in Guntur Kaaram, is seen in a more substantial role here, and she shines as Sumathi, the devoted wife and mother. Her portrayal adds depth to the film's emotional landscape. The supporting cast, which includes seasoned actors like Ramki, Sachin Khedekar, P. Sai Kumar, Tinnu Anand, and Raghu Babu, as well as younger actors like Rithvik, Maanasa Choudhary, Hyper Aadi, Srinath Maganti, and Surya Sreenivas, deliver solid performances that effectively support the main narrative.
Atluri’s engaging screenplay is complemented by a production team that meticulously recreates the retro vibe of the era. Cinematographer Nimish Ravi and art director Banglan beautifully capture the charm of bygone eras, with warm tones and film grain creating a unique cinematic experience. The film’s dialogues are well-crafted, delivering impact whenever required, and adding to the film’s immersive storytelling. While the songs may lack recall value after leaving the cinema, GV Prakash Kumar’s background score significantly enhances the narrative. Editor Navin Nooli keeps the narrative tight and engaging, though a few scenes could have benefitted from tighter pacing, especially in the second half.
If one were to nitpick, a few moments—like the attempted humour in the checkpost crossing scene—don’t quite match the film’s otherwise high standards, briefly disrupting the flow.
Lucky Baskhar emerges as a captivating period crime thriller, blending a nostalgic backdrop with a tale of human ambition and resilience. Venky Atluri’s direction and Dulquer Salmaan’s nuanced portrayal of Baskhar and a strong supporting cast make for an engaging cinematic experience.
